When it started the three people doing the retreat introduced themselves and briefly went through what to expect for the day. We started the retreat by playing a game where we were all linking arms and 4 girls had to try and pull us all apart. By playing this game I think we all realized how competitive and vicious we all are! We pulled each other apart to try and separate them from the other person.
After we played a game where we had to get into groups of how many the girl Linda said. This game was pretty competitive too, and people's mean sides were shown too hahah. If there was too many people there was always that one person who wouldn't mind kicking someone out of the group so they wouldn't lose. When there was 10 people left they had to get into pairs and they first had a jocky-back race, then the last 2 were gone. Then there was a wheelbarrow race and the same rules applied, last 2 were gone. Linda called numbers of groups again and when there was 4 left they had to have a one-footed, no arms fight. Chloe Maher and Roisin Byrne were the winners.
We had a break then we were split into groups and given topics. We would discuss them in our small groups then when we were all in a circle again we would share our topic, our thoughts then it was open to the rest of the year. This went on until nearly the end. I really enjoyed the day and I hope we go there on our retreat again next year. The Starbucks was nice too! Shoutout to the students in Maynooth College who yaked on Yik Yak about us:)):):)::))))
